In the 2100s, the megacorporation Buy 'n Large took control of the entire sphere of economic services on Earth. Due to the large amount of waste, the planet becomes uninhabitable. In an attempt to save humanity, Buy 'n Large takes it into space aboard the giant ship Axiom. Thousands of WALL-I robots are thrown to clean up the planet, but after seven hundred years, only one WALL-I remains in working order. One day, EVE (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator), a robot sent from Axiom to search for plant life, arrives on the planet. WALL-I falls in love with her, but despite his best efforts, EVE's priority remains her program.
