If Avril still does not imagine herself as a mother (because she knows what kind of mother she has), then for Mado the prospect of becoming a mother again, and even more so a grandmother, does not make her happy at all. The main roles of Mado and Avril in the film were played by Juliette Binoche and Camille Cotten, respectively.
