Mortal Kombat

This is the story of MMA fighter Cole Young, who is used to taking beatings for money. He knows nothing of his origins or why the Outer World Emperor Shang Zong has sent his best warrior, the mysterious cryomancer Sub-Zero, to hunt him down. Special Forces Major Jax, whose body bears the same strange dragon silhouette as Cole's, advises him to find Sonya Blade. Fearing for the safety of his family, Cole sets out on a search. He soon finds himself in the temple of Lord Raiden, the Elder God and protector of Earth, who gives refuge to all who bear the mark of the dragon. Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang, Kun Lao and the rogue mercenary Kano. Along with Earth's greatest champions, Yang prepares to take on enemies from the Outer Worlds. The stakes are high, because this is a battle for the entire universe! But will Cole be able to discover his arcana - the immense power in his soul - in time to save not only his family, but also to stop the Outside World once and for all?
