Hanna and her boyfriend Yurko from Kyiv come to visit and meet the girl's parents in a small Ukrainian village in the Carpathians in the summer. At the celebration of Ivan Kupala, a local girl Ivanka, nicknamed Morena, sets her sights on Yurk and decides to win him back from Hanna. But after meeting Morena, strange things begin to happen around the couple, and the girls' conflict turns into a bloody drama that will forever change the measured village life.
