19th century, remote Icelandic village. A young woman named Eva runs a fishing industry. When a ship with people sinks off the coast during a brutal winter, she has to make an impossible choice: save the victims or save the last supplies of food for her fellow villagers. But the decision has its price - the shadows of ancient Icelandic legends begin to appear from the darkness, and the guilt for what has been done turns into an eerie reality.
